The New Orleans Saints wasted no time replacing Derek Carr on their roster.New Orleans announced it would sign controversial undrafted rookie free agent Hunter Dekkers mere days after Carr’s surprise retirement announcement.

This was a shocking move for a couple of reasons. The Saints adding a receiver doesn't really make sense right now considering they have questions on who's going to throw the ball. Either they don't care about who's throwing the ball to their receivers or they believe in who they already have.

Derek Carr ran out of gas. Carr, 34, announced Saturday that he is retiring from the NFL rather than undergoing shoulder surgery —to repair a labral tear and damage to his rotator cuff — that likely would have ruled him out for the season.
